2022 Volvo XC40 Performance

The 2022 Volvo XC40 comes in three styles: Momentum, Inscription, and R-Design. All three come in front-wheel or all-wheel drive configurations, and are also all equipped with a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine.

Your engine performance will differ depending on your configuration choice. Front-wheel drive models can expect 187 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque, while all-wheel drive models deliver 248 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque for some extra oomph.

You can also optimize your experience with five standard drive modes. Maximize your comfort with the aptly named Comfort mode, or focus on efficient fuel consumption in Eco mode. For a sporty feel, Dynamic mode provides quicker engine, transmission, steering, and braking responses, while Off Road mode helps driving in less-than-ideal conditions and roads. You can also customize your own in Individual mode.

Inside, the luxury of the Volvo XC40 is on display. Its roomy interior has seating for up to five in standard leather or available Nubuck/Nappa Leather upholstery. Standard heated front seats and available heated rear seats help keep everyone cozy during chilly drives.

You and your passengers will also have plenty of room to stretch and relax. The XC40 features 40.9 inches of front legroom and 36.1 inches of rear legroom, while also providing over 54 inches of hip room in front and back.

When it comes to storage, folding rear seats provide ways to customize your cargo space, including folding down completely to provide up to 57.5 cubic feet of space. The available removable/folding load floor adds to your storage options by acting as a divider, providing hooks for bags, and an underfloor storage area for smaller items and valuables.

Intuitively view relevant driver information easily on the standard 12-inch instrument panel located behind the steering wheel of the XC40. View navigation directions, phone information, and relevant road signs on its adaptable layout.

In the dashboard, you'll find a standard 9-inch center display with a touchscreen. The touchscreen can be easily rearranged to suit your preference and lets you easily control a number of functions, like navigation, media, and phone and app controls.
